Ok so what does DHA do?
Tanners are constntly pursuing a darker, longer lasting tan. DHA is a "self-tanning" ingredient that may be formulated in moisturizers to extend your tan. It may also be found in your accelerating lotion and may be reffered to as a "bronzer". Finally DHA is found in Self Tanning Lotions and our Mystic Tan!

Extending the life of a tan would be very difficult if it weren't for the quality ingredients that lotion manufacturers incorporate in their blends. Elements sucha s L - Tyrosine an amino acid that produces and extra reseve in the skin to stimulate melanin synthesis.

Typical Low pressure lamps utilize a combination of UVA and UVB. UVB stimulates the melanocytes in our skin. UVA then oxidizes the melanocytes.
The goal is to find the best combination of UVA and UVB to generate effective tanning and no incidence of burning.
What is the difference between UVA and UVB and UVC?

Each UV has a beneficial purpose.
UVC is the most powerful and considered harmful to humans. UVC is used to steralize and destroy bacteria.
UVA penetratss the skin in deeper layers known as the dermis.
UVB rays stimulate the upper layers of the skin to produce melanin. UVA browns that melanin to create a beautiful tan!
